Johnathan W Ghee is a native of Nashville, Tenn. He enlisted into the Army in May 2002 as a Patriot operator/ maintainer. He attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, Okla. and completed Advanced Individual Training at Fort Bliss, Texas where he was awarded the military occupational specialty of 14E.

Ghee has held numerous leadership positions throughout his military career. His duty assignments include: system maintenance noncommissioned officer in charge, F Battery, 1st Battalion 43rd Air Defense Artillery (ADA), Kunsan Air Base, Korea; senior engagement controller, D Battery, 2-1st ADA, Kunsan AB, Korea; senior engagement controller, D Battery, 3-43rd ADA, Fort Bliss; engagement control team leader, A Battery, 3-43rd ADA, Fort Bliss; recruiter, Fairview Heights Recruiting Company, Indianapolis Recruiting Battalion, Indianapolis, Ind.; fire control platoon sergeant, D Battery, 1-62nd ADA, Fort Hood, Texas; fire control platoon sergeant, B Battery, 1-62nd ADA, Fort Hood; AIT platoon sergeant, B Battery, 3-6th ADA, Fort Sill; senior AIT platoon sergeant, B Battery, 3-6th ADA, Fort Sill; and currently serves as the first sergeant for Headquarters/A Battery, 3-6th ADA, Fort Sill.

Ghee’s military education includes the Warrior Leadership Course, Advanced Leadership Course, Senior Leadership Course, Army Recruiter Basic and Station Commanders Course, Advanced Individual Training Platoon Sergeant Course, Master Resiliency Training Course. 1SG Ghee currently holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Marketing and Administration from the University of Tennessee and is pursuing a Master’s Degree from Columbia College.

Ghee’s awards and decorations include: Army Commendation Medal (with three oak leaf clusters-(OLC), Army Achievement Medal (with two OLC), Good Conduct Medal (4th award), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal; Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal; Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (with numeral 3), Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Ribbon (with numeral 3); Recruiter Gold Badge (with three sapphire stars) and Drivers Badge (Wheeled). He is also is a member of the Honorable Order of Saint Barbara.
