A native of Hicksville, NY 1SG Sibila enlisted into the Army in March 2001 as a 14J (Sentinel Crewmember). He attended basic training at Fort Jackson, SC and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Bliss, TX.

1SG Sibila’s previous assignments include: Sentinel Crew Member and Sentinel Team Chief at 3-62 ADA, Fort Drum, NY; JTAGS Shift Leader, JTAGS Section Sergeant and Master Trainer/Evaluator, Alpha Detachment, 1st Space Company, Stuttgart, Germany; US Army Recruiter Stroudsburg, PA, Wilkes Barre Company, Syracuse Battalion; Battle Systems Manager, Operations Company, Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, Fort Drum, NY; 14G Senior Instructor, Bravo Battery, 2-6 ADA Battalion, Fort Sill, Oklahoma. 1SG Sibila has deployed two times to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

1SG Sibila’s military education includes JLENS/RAID Course, JTAGS IQT Course, Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC), Basic Non-commissioned Officer Course (BNCOC), TAMIS-R Course (Total Ammunition Management Information System), Multi-Tactical Data Link Joint Interoperability Course (MAJIC), US Army Recruiter School, Senior Leaders Course (SLC), ADAM/BAE Course, Cadre Training Course, Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC), Intermediate Facilitation Skills Course (IFSC) and the Commander and First Sergeant Course. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland University College.

1SG Sibila’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (4th award), the Army Achievement Medal (4th award), the Good Conduct Medal (5th award), the Recruiter Badge and the Airforce Space and Missile Badge.
