System Approach to Training Basic Course (SATBC)
Course Overview

This 80-hour course provides military and civilian training developers the prerequisite skills and knowledge required by TRADOC for developing standardized training. It focuses on use of the 5-phase SAT process to meet the Army's needs for rigorous, relevant, hands-on performance training. This course presents exercises and conference discussions designed to have students experience, first hand, how to develop effective training products.


A Letter of Instruction is mailed NLT one week prior to class start with information about the class and when/where to pick up student materials

  1. Complete pre-requisites on Letter of Instruction (LOI), sent by Registrar after enrollment is complete
  2. Read Army Learning Model 2015
  3. Required materials - bring to class:

    - Must have computer access to complete course requirements
    - Formatted CD-RW (re-writable) or DVD are required for the student guide and presentations
    - Copy of the SATBC Individual Student Assessment Plan ISAP, sent in LOI.
