SGM George B. Bunn
Sergeant Major, Capabilities Development and Integration Directorate

Sergeant Major George B. Bunn, after serving four years in the U.S.M.C., entered the Army in March 1994. He is a native of Zebulon, NC and completed Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sill, OK.

His assignments include Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) Driver, B Battery, 6th Battalion, 37th Field Artillery, Camp Casey Korea; MLRS Gunner and Section Chief, B Battery, 1st Battalion, 39th Field Artillery, Fort Stewart, GA; Section Chief and Platoon Sergeant, B Battery, 1st Battalion, 27th Field Artillery, Babenhausen, Germany; Platoon Sergeant, C Battery, 3rd Battalion, 13th Field Artillery, Fort Sill; First Sergeant, Headquarters and Headquarters Battery and C Battery, 3rd Battalion, 13th Field Artillery; Senior Military Science Instructor, Cameron University; Brigade Operations Sergeant Major, 214th Fires Brigade, Fort Sill; Battalion Command Sergeant Major, 2nd Battalion, 18th Field Artillery, Fort Sill, Ok; and is currently serving as the Capabilities Development & Integration SGM, Fort Sill, Ok.

He has completed an Associates of Science degree at Cameron University and Bachelors of Science degree at Excelsior College, and is a graduate of every NCOES school from the Warrior Leader Course to the Sergeants Major Academy (Class #63). He is also a graduate of the functional courses: First Sergeant Course, Master Gunner Course and Battle Staff NCO Course.

His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star (two OLC’s), Meritorious Service Medal (four OLC's), Army Commendation Medal (four OLC's), Army Achievement Medal (four OLC's), Good Conduct Medal (Seventh Award), National Defense Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal (four Bronze Service Stars), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 4), Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeral 5), and the Combat Action Badge. He is a member of the prestigious Audie Murphy and SGT Morales Club.
