Fort Sill changed our Independence Day ceremony schedule this year.
The celebration of Independence Day starts at 8 a.m., Thursday, July 2 at McNair Hall. The 77th Army Band will play Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture with cannon fire provided by the Fort Sill Salute Battery, a short narrative about the Declaration of Independence, a Naturalization ceremony for initial entry trainees and remarks by the commanding general.
In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved inside the 95th AG Reception Center, B6005.
Our celebration concludes at noon, Saturday, July 4, when the Salute Battery fires a 50-gun salute to the United States of America.
