Mission

The primary mission of Operating Location E, 3d Combat Weather Squadron (OL-E, 3 CWS) is to provide customer focused mission tailored weather support to the US Army Fires Center of Excellence & Fort Sill, Fort Sill Military Reservation, and Henry Post Army Airfield through utilization of automated weather sensor capabilities, robust customer based Mission Weather Products, effective teaming with the 26th Operational Weather Squadron (26 OWS), and sound meteorological watch procedures. OL-E, 3 CWS provides or arranges for tactical-level weather support for Fort Sill and associate units in-garrison and deployed. OL-E, 3 CWS provides tailored weather products translating decision-quality environmental information into operational impacts for mission planning and execution of Army training and combat operations. In addition, the OL-E, 3 CWS serves as the "eyes forward" for the 26 OWS by providing real-time interpretation of local weather information.
