What is Records Managment?

Army Records Management involves the systematic creation, maintenance, use, and disposition of official records to support military operations, administrative functions, and historical documentation. Effective records management ensures that the Army maintains accountability, operational readiness, and compliance with federal laws, regulations, and Department of Defense (DoD) policies. Proper records management is vital for the Army to maintain operational effectiveness, transparency, and accountability while preserving its historical legacy

ARIMS is a role-based system managed and operated by the US Army Records Management and Declassification Agency (RMDA). Its primary purpose is to provide authorized personnel with web- based tools and technology to manage both hardcopy and electronic Army records.
