13M Class 06-23
This week Class 06-23 conducted hands-on training for our Army communication systems. The Soldiers also went through a High Physical Demands Test and had their first tour of Critz Hall where they will be conducting a majority of their 13M training. Next week we will be discussing the M270A1 Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) Vehicle.
This week Class 06-23 learned how to operate the Launcher System Support Device (LSSD) that allowed the Soldiers to conduct hands-on maintenance for all 13M firing platforms. Class 06-23 did a familiarization with the M270A1 MLRS. In addition, Soldiers learned about their drivers’ duties and prepared the firing platform for fire missions. Next week the Soldiers are going to learn about the Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT).
This week Class 06-23 dived into the intro to Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT) where they learned how to conduct maintenance. The Soldiers also learned the value of teamwork when they paired up and conducted resupply operations. In addition, Soldiers learned about their drivers’ duties and prepared the firing platform for fire missions. Next week the Soldiers are familiarizing themselves with the M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) vehicle.
This week Class 06-23 had to use the Launcher System Support Device (LSSD) to conduct maintenance on the M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) vehicle. This week concluded with the Soldiers taking an exam on the proper way to fill out the LSSD. Next week the Soldiers are focusing on the Resupply Vehicle (RSV).
This week Class 06-23 focused their efforts on learning about the Resupply Vehicle (RSV). This Resupply Vehicle is associated with the M142 HIMARS and assists in loading missile pods into the HIMARS. Class 06-23 worked in 2-Soldier teams to train on how to download two pods off the resupply vehicle for the HIMARS to conduct reload operations. Next week Class 06-23 is preparing to head out to the field to start their 72-hour Culminating Training Exercise (CTE).
