The Army Chaplains provide religious and spiritual leadership and support to Soldiers, military families and advise commanders on matters pertaining to religion and morale (as impacted by religion).

75th FA Brigade Chaplain (MAJ) Tim Gresham

Chaplain Tim Gresham was born on November 11, 1966 in Fort Worth, Texas. He is a 2005 graduate of Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Religion, and a 2008 graduate of the Baptist Missionary Association Theological Seminary, Jacksonville, Texas with a Master of Divinity degree. Gresham was pastor of Rose-Rich Baptist Church of Rosenberg, Texas from 1997-2001 and First Baptist Church of Crandall, Texas from 2001-2008. He entered the Army Chaplain Corps in February 2008.

Gresham began his military career by enlisting in the Marine Corps in June 1986. Upon completion of boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, California, he was certified as a Cannon Crewman in November of 1986 from Fort Sill, Oklahoma. As a cannon crewman, his assignments included the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, 29 Palms, California and Camp Butler/Foster, Okinawa Japan. He then transitioned into the Marine Aviation as a Helicopter Airframes Mechanic, additionally being certified in corrosion control, aviation welder, and aviation non-destructive inspection technician. As an Airframes Mechanic his assignments include Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 39, Marine Air Group 39, 3rd Marine Air Wing, Camp Pendleton, California, Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 36, Marine Air Group 36, 1st Marine Air Wing, Camp Futenma, Okinawa, Japan, and Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 29, Marine Air Group 29, 2nd Marine Air Wing, MCAS New River, North Carolina. He deployed with MALS-39 to the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps in April 1996 and entered civilian pastoral ministry.

After completing his seminary studies Chaplain Gresham entered the Army Chaplain Corps February 2008. His assignments include 1st Battalion, 4th Aviation Regiment, 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas, 1st Battalion, 145th Aviation Regiment, 1st Aviation Brigade, Fort Rucker, Alabama, and 1st Space Battalion, 1st Space Brigade, Space and Missile Defense Command, Peterson AFB, Colorado Springs, Colorado. He deployed with 1-4 ARB, 4th CAB to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Some of Chaplain Gresham’s awards include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (2 Oak Leaves), Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Valorous Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy Unit Commendation, Navy Battle “E”, Marine Good Conduct Medal (2 Bronze Stars), and the National Defense Service Medal (1 Bronze Star).

Chaplain Gresham is married to Sher Gresham from Hemet, California. They have seven children: Jennifer Berry, Patti, Paul, Angel, Allyssa, Ronnie, and Mariah.
